Sky x Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 

Our ongoing partnership with Sky took us to the stunning Scottish Highlands for the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, where we delivered a truly immersive brand experience. At the heart of the activation was a state-of-the-art mobile filming studio, giving families and festivalgoers the chance to step into the spotlight and become actors in their very own production. This interactive experience was engaging, memorable, and perfectly aligned with Sky’s commitment to entertainment and creativity.

Delivering this activation in Inverness, one of the most remote parts of Scotland, presented significant logistical challenges. The Sky promotional vehicle was fully electric, which meant our team had to carefully plan a long-distance journey through the Scottish Highlands, where charging points are sparse. This required expert route planning, precise timing for charging stops, and seamless coordination to ensure the vehicle arrived on schedule without compromising the event timeline.

Mission Events developed a comprehensive travel strategy that mapped out the most efficient route, incorporating strategically selected charging locations and accounting for charging durations. Our planners worked meticulously to integrate these stops into the overall schedule, ensuring that every stage of the journey ran smoothly. This approach not only overcame the logistical hurdles but also supported Sky’s sustainability objectives by keeping the activation fully electric.

We also planned extensively for the unpredictable Scottish weather. Our team ensured that cover and protective measures were in place for rain, and we had contingency plans ready for any last-minute changes caused by adverse conditions. This forward-thinking preparation meant the activation could continue without disruption, regardless of the weather.

On site, our fully trained team acted as brand ambassadors, working alongside Sky to boost engagement and ensure everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes. We were prepared for every eventuality, quickly resolving any technical or operational issues that arose. Thanks to our proactive approach, downtime was kept to an absolute minimum, allowing Sky’s staff to focus on delivering the experience with ease and confidence, ensuring it remained uninterrupted for festivalgoers.
